Although he grew up watching and helping his father build street rods, stock cars, and an occasional classic truck or two, it wasn't until Jeff Major decided to build his own classic truck that the thought of a rod shop entered his mind. After many years practicing as a geologist and drilling contractor, Jeff found his dream truck....a 1957 Chevy SWB Stepside....as Jeff has said...."like Dad used to have." During the design process, it was discovered that a considerable number of parts and components Jeff needed for bring his ideas to fruition were either not available or their quality and consistency were lacking. Just as he had done in the environmental and geologic business, Jeff began to think outside the box, and began designing and fabricating those necessary components.
During this process, as "the wheels were turning" in Jeff's mind, he saw an opportunity.... to manufacture and offer something new to the classic truck world....an extensive range of Choice in Species and Style of bed wood, with the quality of high-end cabinetry, properly milled, sanded, and ready to finish. Thus, Bed Wood and Parts, LLC was established. I firmly believe that each of you desires to personalize your classic truck. One species of bed wood does not fit all needs. Through offering you a choice in both style and species for your bed wood, you have the opportunity to make a statement....allowing the appearance of your the bed wood to be a reflection of your personality.

I can assure you that every component we sell is the best of the best in their category, and all at a competitive price....if I can't do it right, I'm not doing it at all." Bed Wood and Parts, LLC is not just another company that sells you parts....as a builder, through our parent company, Rockguy's Rod Shop, LLC, we know what works and what doesn't. We use what we sell! If we can't use these parts in our own shop, we definitely will not sell them to you, our customer.
